Retouch and Prepare Scanned Images
Create three scanned image files using Photoshop tools to enhance their appeal in a poster/poster without altering their historic document character, using as many techniques as necessary.
Elements include:
Straightened
Cropped to image border
Clone Postmark and ink marks
Colours re-saturated to compensate for scanning washout
Sharpened
Curves pulled to add more tone depth
Resolution has been checked 300 dpi
Finished file correctly named and formatted

Using elements learned in class, and the three images prepared above, I created a sample exhibit panel.
Elements include:
Title Graphic (Illustrator)
Layer Mask and placement of canoe girl graphic
Fitting, layout and curves behind main title and subtitle
Relationship of frame, Acme icon and curves to panel
Overall Panel (InDesign)
Strokes around image frames
Body copy left aligned
Appropriate leading and inter-paragraph spacing
Appropriate white space around body copy in relation to size of frame
Image frames and caption text evenly distributed
Copy text frame aligned beneath canoe girl graphic
Image frames aligned beneath subtitle
Gradient smoothly executed
Alignments of individual elements
Overall placement of individual elements on page
